Core Classes
Core Classes
As we seek to help you grow in your relationship with God, we have created several Core Classes that we hope every person who calls Our Savior's Palm Springs home will find time to invest in. Being a disciple literally means to become a learner, and so we have chosen to create these continuing education opportunities. Our hope in these classes is that you will become life-long learners of the Words, ways, and works of Jesus.
We also know that you are very busy and that learning for many of you will need to be available on the journey and simply not in the classroom. That is why we are working hard to deliver the Core Class content to you in several different ways:
Weekly Classes
Weekly classes will be offered in both the Spring and Fall seasons. These 6-12 weekly sessions will be offered at a predictable time each week for the duration of the season.
Weekend Intensives
Because we know many of you may have difficulty finding a weekly time to attend our Core Classes, we are also offering classes as Weekend Intensives. Weekend Intensives will help you grab hold of our core content in a concentrated way through a Friday evening and an all-day Saturday experience.
UP Core Classes
These classes help us develop and expand our UP dimension of living as a disciple who imitates Christ. Through these classes, we gain a better understanding of the story of God and our role in his Kingdom.
IN Core Classes
These classes help us to fulfill Jesus' command to love each other. Through each of these classes, we develop our In dimension in order to imitate Jesus in caring for one another.
Out Core Classes
These core classes are focused on fulfilling the great commission to "Go and make disciples of all nations. Through these classes, we develop our Out dimension as we live our lives as a family on mission imitating Jesus' call to impact the world beginning with our neighbors and community.
Pray
“The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.” James 5:16
We are a congregation of prayer. Please pray for our ministry to have an impact in this community and the entire Coachella Valley. Then pick 10 people in your sphere of influence who need Jesus Christ and his restoration and hope.
Care
“As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:34-35
As you pray for each person on your list ask God, “How do you want me to love and serve them?” List anything he places on your heart and prepare to care for them..
Share
“Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.” 1 Peter 3:15
Ask God, “How do you want me to share about your Son Jesus with the people around me?” Look for ways to share the Gospel with people in proactive ways.
